These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Sketchline ("we", "us") governing your use of the Sketchline app and website (together, the "Service"). By downloading, accessing, or playing Sketchline, or by tapping "I Understand & Agree" in the app, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Sketchline. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service with the permission of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
You sign in with your Apple account and receive a username. You are responsible for activity on your account. Usernames must not be offensive, impersonate others, or infringe anyone's rights, and we may reset a username that violates this. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings.
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Sketchline for your own entertainment. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, or exploit the Service or its content except as allowed by law.
Sketchline connects you directly with another player. You alone are responsible for what you say, write, draw, photograph, and share during a game. You agree not to use the Service to harass, threaten, or abuse others, share unlawful or infringing content, cheat, disrupt, or interfere with the Service, or attempt to access another player's account or data.
Gameplay content (sketches, messages, photos, and voice) travels between players and is not hosted, moderated, or reviewed by us. We are not responsible for the conduct of any player or for content exchanged between players. If another player behaves inappropriately, stop playing with them and report it to us.
The Service, including its artwork, characters, design, and code, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. These Terms do not give you any ownership of the Service. You keep any rights you may have in sketches you draw, and you give the other player in your game permission to view them as part of gameplay.
The Service is provided free of charge and depends on third party services (such as Apple, Google Firebase, and peer to peer networking). We may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, and we are not liable for any unavailability, data loss, or discontinuation.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR FREE, OR SECURE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED FIFTY US DOLLARS (USD $50). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or right of another person.
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account in the app. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, including if you violate these Terms. Sections 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, and 12 survive termination.
These Terms are between you and us, not with Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the Service and is not responsible for any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You must also comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions when using the app.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and, to the extent applicable, the laws of the state where you reside, without regard to conflict of law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us at the email below and give us 30 days to try to resolve the dispute informally.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new date, and continued use of the Service after changes means you accept them.
