This policy explains what information Sketchline ("the app", "we") handles when you play, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the game, we do not show ads, we do not use analytics or tracking, and we never sell your information.
Gameplay content travels directly between the two players over an encrypted peer to peer connection and is not stored on our servers:
A third party signaling service (PeerJS) is used briefly to connect the two players to each other. It does not receive your gameplay content.
Account data (your account identifier and username) is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore), acting as our service provider. You can read Google's terms at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Your account data (identifier and username) is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account and its data at any time from inside the app: open Settings and choose Delete account. This removes your username, your account record, and your sign in link with Apple. You can also email us at the address below and we will delete it for you. Signing out on your device removes your local session.
Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can delete your account yourself in the app at any time. To exercise any right, email us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days. We will never discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to know what personal information we collect (listed above), to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, and we have not done so in the past 12 months.
Our services are operated from the United States, and account data is stored on Google Firebase servers which may be located in the United States. By using Sketchline you understand your information may be processed there. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal basis for processing is the performance of our agreement with you (running the game), and you additionally have the rights to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
We use industry standard services (Apple authentication, Google Firebase, encrypted peer to peer connections) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we store the minimum data possible so there is very little to lose.
Sketchline is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top.
